We sent an e-mail to McElroy Metal on a Sunday, and we received an automatic response the same day. On Monday, we received an e-mail from Debbie Teague, with a link to the color chart and her offer to help with any problems we had. Debbie mailed a sample color chart which was received by Wednesday. This is an example of OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are reviewing the colors now, and will be working with our contractor to make a selection. Many, many thanks to Debbie for making this process so much easier for us!

Traycie Tomer and Tony Pierce for your assistance in being sure that an order was completed timely for a customer who was at a standstill on a job until they received this material. Your willingness to quickly complete this task was greatly appreciated!!! You are amazing!!!

I had the opportunity to visit the Houston plant. Larry and his team are constantly working to improve safety and efficiency. They shared many of their improvements by demonstrating. Their enthusiasm was infectious. They exemplify an Employee Owner for McElroy Metal. They share the common goal of being the best in the industry and making a culture you want to be part of.
The picture included shows the many countries that make up the team at Houston. It is a constant reminder in the plant that they are all part of one team!

Had a customer on a Friday desperately needing 60 pcs of ML painted gutter straps overnighted to their jobsite for Monday delivery. Richard went above and beyond to get them all produced and overnighted within just a couple of hours. My (and the customer's) hero for sure!

On a daily basis, I need to have quick answers regarding our customer's orders and without fail, Phillip is helpful and immediate with his response to my requests. I appreciate his reliability. Even though we are at 2 different plants, it is an absolute pleasure to work with Phillip!

We had a very complex order for a customer. There were two PO's issued. One to Winchester for sub structural material needed first. The second was for "R" panel in Sandstone in both 24 and 26 gauge. Regina went above and beyond to get the logistics of this order placed. Now, with her help, the panels should arrive about two weeks after the sub structural components. And that is what the customer wanted.

Chris painted a mural of our plant on the wall in our tactical area.

We had some missing trim for a load going to Canada 🇨🇦 and the trim was missing. Without hesitation these three people jumped into action and remade the 13 pcs of trim so the truck could ship complete.

Nikki always has a helpful, super happy attitude when we come in. 

I will say this location is by far the friendliest, welcoming, professional, and well knowledgeable team. I am extremely satisfied with the overall customer service they provided today.

Tristin caught an error on a customer's cutlist and the customer was super thankful she caught it! She saved both the customer and McElroy Metal time and money! This kind of customer service instills trust and shows that McElroy Metal is invested in bringing value to our customers! Good job Tristin!

We have been working on training for Max Rib that will include video training pieces. Aaron & Fidel both agreed to be the "actors" in the videos and Hannah played a huge part in getting pre-filming phone videos done, that were so important. We filmed last week and both Aaron & Fidel did a fantastic job! We can't wait for the finished product! We'll have to ask them both for their autographs!

Steve, Bryan and Rodney all came to my rescue when Paragon showed up early to pick up samples. All 3 worked on short notice, getting the crates loaded on the truck for me.

Kurt Comer is a builder in Indiana and he submitted a large order this week for material that was not currently in stock at Lewisport. Jackie and Paige worked on getting the coil and accessory items brought in, secured a dedicated carrier to deliver the load and Curt brown and the production department will be able to produce and deliver the order so Kurt Comer can fulfill his contract. This was a lot of back and forth and was handled in a timely manner by the plant to avoid having our customer cancel the order and purchase elsewhere. A big thank you to all of Lewisport.

Heather always goes way above and beyond to help her customers and also her outside sales team. Her fast responses as well as her ability to provide multiple options when dealing with difficult situations is very helpful.

This group of ladies in Jonesboro, Arkansas have won an award for best metal supplier in northeast Arkansas. It is always a delight when I visit with them. They have an attitude of gratitude, always happy and upbeat. Their customers love them, they are always going above and beyond to ensure their customers leave happy. Like store manager Yvette Sansom always says “a happy customer is a return customer

I met Traycie a couple of months after I started in the Traffic dept. I was actually a temp assistant for the previous traffic coordinator, she actually resigned the day I started. By the time traycie got to me I thought I knew 90% of what I was supposed to know. I absolutely did NOT! I was a little stubborn at first until I realized I needed to start all over. Once I was a clean slate Traycie devoted several weeks to showing me how to do things the right way and the most difficult way before she showed me tools that made my job a little easier. I can be difficult at times and Traycie gave me some very sound advice and had quite a bit of patience with me. Thanks to her I am confident in my abilities in my position with McElroy. She is one of the hardest workers I know. Compassionate but gets her point across. She never wants a recognition for all of the work she does throughout the entire company. That in itself makes her a valuable member of the McElroy team. She deserves recognition even though she never asks for any.
